Serrapeptase – An enzyme which breaks down non-living protein in the body. Simply put, it may help to clean out debris from blood and lymph vessels and also from other fluid-containing areas of the body, like joint cavities and the fluid in between cells. At this practice we recommend it for joint and soft tissue pain. The product we use is SerraPlus+ from Good Health Naturally. A short course of 20 capsules costing around £7 may be suggested by your practitioner. If this helps, then a bottle of sixty capsules is available at a price of £18.50.
Flexicose – A liquid supplement containing MSM, glucosamine sulphate/KCL, chondroitin sulphate plus minerals, enzymes and essential fatty acids. It is intended to help reduce inflammation in joints and soft tissues. A bottle lasts from 4-6 weeks.
Advice – These, and other supplements which are avaliable from us, can also be purchased from retail outlets. We make no specific claims for them but are very happy to discuss how we recommend that you use them over the telephone.
If you are intending to try any of these products it would be advisable to tell your general practitioner, especially if you are taking any medication.
